Because there are so many different options and opportunities in our canoes, we stock canoes in 'natural' colors, with stock gunnel wood, and stock seating. However, we are more than happy to special order a canoe that meets your specifications.
Your special order will typically be built in 1-3 months depending on the season.   There are occasional shortages or price changes due to post-Covid availability, so please be flexible.​

Generally, No Deposit is Needed
Our “No Deposit” policy means that unless you are ordering a canoe very specific to you,  we don't require any deposit.  To order your canoe, simply submit a Canoe Quote Request, below... and we will reply with an invoice, if we have that canoe in stock, we will tell you.  When you receive the invoice, if everything looks satisfactory, reply with 'Build as Invoiced', and we will get it on the schedule ASAP.  Then... we wait.  :)

Prior to build, you can cancel the order all together with no hard feelings.  The pleasures of paddling and friendship should never be compromised with stress.  We try to offer the greatest convenience and flexibility in ordering your boat.  Be aware that if a deposit was required, it not refundable, as it covers the cost of making the canoe not quite so 'very specific to you'.

Return policy:  
Once the canoe is in your possession, we do not allow returns unless the canoe is defective.​
There is no expressed warranty from Slipstream Watercraft, nor Ultralight Paddling. But if something is not right for some reason, Ultralight Padding and Slipstream will try their hardest to fix it.
If you damage the canoe while using it, Slipstream can very likely repair it for a modest cost, but you must pay for canoe transport to/from Slipstream waterworks. Please contact us first.
