At 14 pounds, this is a canoe for almost all reasons (excepting big whitewater). Carrying it over long distances isn’t an issue and neither is loading or off-loading from your vehicle. A junket to backwater ponds or lakes is a legitimate option. Ask about our hands-free portage system; walk with your hands in your pockets if you like.
With depths options between 10” and 13”, the Wee Lassie offers generous capacity for paddler, gear, dogs and more. Offering different depths is more than worth our effort in order to precisely match the canoe to your personal size and load requirements (there’s no charge for this custom process).

The Impulse 13 is the answer for carrying larger loads than the Wee Lassie, paddling even faster and for cruising in more challenging conditions even loaded with fishing/camping gear. The hull is a shallow V that exhibits excellent initial and final stability. It paddles and glides with little effort; quiet, precise in tracking, maneuverable, seaworthy and capable of carrying significant loads. The Impulse 13’ is a boat that you’ll want to paddle for the shear pleasure of skimming across the water on impulse . . . in an Impulse.
Customize your boat with special seating, GPS brackets, allowances for dogs, special deck engravings, gunnel species including: ash, cherry, mahogany, cedar, sitka and more. We truly welcome the challenge of building your boat to your exact specifications -- be creative!

“Concinnity” - the skillful and harmonious arrangement or fitting together of the different parts of something. Truly, the Sportduo 13 is an example of “concinnity”! Lean entry lines, pretty curves fore and aft, attractive shear, wood outfitting . . . synergy that produces a unique watercraft. Effortless cruising with room to stretch your legs. Superb tracking makes the Sportduo 13 an excellent choice for a thirty minute sunset paddle or day-long cruising.
The Sportduo 13 is not your typical tandem -- it’s quite responsive and quick while exhibiting stability that will inspire confidence for novice paddlers and comfort for those with experience. Whether fishing, taking photos or stalking wildlife, the Sportduo tracks extremely well even at very slow speeds. This translates into the ability to glide toward your objective (photo op, rising trout, etc.) without constant steering or paddle strokes that spook wildlife.

SportDuo Crossover Reverse Special
Problem: I want a 2 person boat that I can also paddle as a 1 person.
In the picture below, the bottom canoe is the Impulse designed for 1 paddler, and shows where the ultimate seating would be for the 13' design.
The top canoe is a Sport Duo also 13', which seats 2 people. You can see that if the rear paddler was to move their rear seat forward for 1 person paddling, ultimately their backside would be where the 'craft' word is on the side of the canoe Slipstream Watercraft logo is. But if they did that with the Sportduo, you would have the thwart in your lap, too close for entry/exit. What to do?
Answer: When just 1 paddler wants to take out a Sport Duo, we have developed the Crossover Reverse Special that very closely duplicates the optimum seating of the Impulse (bottom canoe).
The front seat out of the Sport Duo is removed completely. Note: the SportDuo is now on the bottom, in the picture below.
The rear seat is taken out, reversed, and located to the back of the front thwart that once had the front seat resting against it. Since the boat is concentric (front same as rear), you will now be paddling the boat 'backwards' (in reality, there is no backwards), and the 'new' front/bow is to the left. The advantage is now the rear thwart is not in the way when 1 paddler wants to go out and has to move his seat much closer to the center of the canoe. That is now behind the seat, instead of in front of it.
We also add a 3rd set of foot braces (not installed yet, but it will be!) and 1 more set of eyelets to hold the seat. The result is a seat that is placed for 1 paddler, yet can be restored to the original SportDuo 2 seat configuration in minutes.
The actual foot stay in the foot brace can be slid completely off the holding bar if it is in the way... or just slid behind the seat.
--> This is exclusively an Ultralight Paddling option! $125.
The Woods Canoe 12 is produced in a two part mold -- the stripe you see is the seam line. It’s possible to build the upper and lower portions in different colors as well as having various seam colors (3 color total). This provides a huge selection of colors to match anyone's imagination! The lines give this boat a bit of a retro-50's look, while allowing the paddler to sit in a variety of ways: kayak seat style, hung seat, or kneeling thwart.
This model shown is with integral composite gunnels and decks. Wood gunnels are also available to give it an even more elite look, please inquire. This boat is a steady paddler great for fishing because of it's width, so nice for fly fishing!

The St. Regis 12 is in production and orders are being accepted. It’s a brand new addition in the Slipstream “Legacy Series” of classic designs. The St. Regis was designed by Bart Hauthaway who was inspired by the John Henry Rushton boats of similar size.
Frankly, this is also a great boat for bigger persons (especially for you guys in the 190-290lb mark) and you need additional stability. Bigger guys who typically have more weight on the top half of their body will especially appreciate this model. This boat is slightly wider than the Impulse and Sport Duo, and it makes all the difference in the world for initial stability, yet maintaining a nice speed rating.
Additional fabrics are available for a high tech stamina build(Innegra/Carbon/Kevlar H/D Hybrid) for strength yet super light. Carbon fiber is light, very rigid, but less forgiving on rock gardens.
